Look what I got!

Tonight's storm was freaking awesome and it's not even done yet. I took so many pictures and videos. I wanna be a meteorologist even more after watching tonight...

I tried to get some footage of it but I never managed to catch a good and clear streak on camera..just lots of flashes mostly obscured by clouds. I read that this storm had 4800 flashes per hour in the peak time, and the clouds reached 50 thousand feet which is unusually high. It sucked to be a pilot last night.

And: MCC has a class, GPH 212, Intro to Meteorology. It has no prerequisites. It might be too late to try to get in, though--it's met twice this week already and drop/add ends today. You'd have to cough up the cash for it now...so maybe some other semester.

About halfway through the storm I remembered I can take 1 minute movies with my camera, so I took 4. I caught some pretty decent forks of lightning:

That's awesome about MCC having Meteorology classes. I didn't know they did since I tried looking and didn't find anything. When does the next semester start?
